Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last Updated: 12 August 2026

This policy explains how we deliver orders placed on makemyhome.org and on the Make My Home Android app.

1. Where We Deliver

We deliver through franchise partners and vendors serving particular PIN codes. When you enter your delivery address, the Platform finds the partner covering that area and shows you their prices, stock and delivery charges. If no partner serves your PIN code yet, the product page will say so and you will not be able to check out for that address.

3. Delivery Timelines

Every timing we show is an estimate, not a guarantee. How long a delivery actually takes depends on how far you are from the store serving you, the traffic on the day, whether a loaded vehicle can reach your address, and what you have ordered.

Distance from the serving storeUsual delivery
Within a few kilometres (about 5 km)Often 30–60 minutes during working hours
Elsewhere in the serving city or townUsually the same day, sometimes 1–3 working days
Nearby areas within the same district1–5 working days
Bulk materials requiring a truck or tractor loadScheduled with you, usually 2–7 working days
Home servicesOn the date and time slot you book
About the quick nearby deliveries. An order going only a few kilometres from the store can reach you in about half an hour, and that is what the product page shows when you are that close. It is a typical time, not a commitment. It takes longer when:
  • traffic is heavy, or it is raining;
  • the road to your address is narrow, unpaved, or closed to loaded vehicles at some hours;
  • you are further from the store than the estimate assumed — the exact distance is only known once you have entered your delivery address;
  • the order is heavy or bulky enough to need a larger vehicle, loading help, or a scheduled slot;
  • the order is placed late in the evening, at night, or on a public holiday.
Orders placed outside working hours are delivered in the next working slot rather than immediately.

5. Labour for Unloading

Heavy goods — cement, sand, bricks, aggregates and similar — can be delivered with labour for unloading: workers to move the goods off the vehicle for you. This is optional. Nothing is added unless you ask for it at checkout, so you are free to unload the delivery yourself at no extra cost.

The charge is quoted per labourer, and you choose how many you want when you place the order. It is shown as its own line at checkout and on your invoice, and it is not waived by a free-delivery offer, because it pays for handling rather than for transport.

7. Tracking Your Order

Order status is shown under My Orders on the website and in the app. We send updates by SMS, WhatsApp, email or push notification at confirmation, dispatch and delivery, to the mobile number and email registered on your account.

8. Delays

We will keep you informed and help resolve any delay, but we are not responsible for delays caused by:

9. Failed or Refused Deliveries

If a delivery cannot be completed — wrong address, nobody available, or access denied — the goods return to the franchise and we will contact you to arrange redelivery. A redelivery charge may apply. If we cannot reach you within 7 days, the order may be cancelled and refunded under the Refund Policy, less any charges already incurred.

10. Checking Your Delivery

Please check the goods at the time of delivery. If anything is damaged, wrong or short, note it with the delivery person and report it within 24 hours — see our Return & Cancellation Policy.
